Emergency? Call (309) 509-1761 now.
Tell us what happened, where you are, and whether anyone is in danger. We will tell you straight away what we can do and how soon.
What Counts As A Tree Emergency
If you are wondering whether your situation qualifies, it probably does. Call and let us decide — there is no charge for the conversation.
- A tree or large limb has fallen on your house, garage, shed, fence or vehicle
- A trunk is blocking your driveway or the only lane onto your property
- A limb is hung up in the canopy above a walkway, deck, driveway or play area
- A tree is leaning hard after a storm, or the soil around the base has heaved and cracked
- A trunk has split and part of the tree is being held up by the other part
- A tree is touching or resting on power lines — call Ameren Illinois first, then call us
- A tree is blocking a road or sidewalk and creating a hazard for other people
What To Do While You Wait For Us
- Get everyone away from it, including pets. Set a wide perimeter — wider than you think you need.
- Assume every wire is live. Never approach a tree in contact with a line, and never move a limb that is touching one.
- Do not park under it or walk under it. Hung-up wood falls on its own schedule.
- Take photos from a safe distance if a structure was hit. Your insurance adjuster will want them.
- Put the saw down. Storm-loaded wood is under tension and kicks hard. This is where homeowners get seriously hurt.
- Call your insurance carrier once people are safe, so the claim is opened.
How We Respond
Emergency calls jump the line ahead of scheduled work. When you call, we ask what fell, what it hit, whether it is on a line, and whether anybody is displaced. That tells us what to bring — climbing gear, the grapple, or both.
On site, the first move is always to make the situation safe, which is not the same as making it finished. We will pull the hung limb, take the weight off the roof, or clear the drive so you can get out — then handle the full removal and cleanup on a normal schedule once nothing is actively dangerous. That way you are not waiting on a full day's work just to get your driveway back.
Licensed, Insured, And From Here
Emergency work is exactly when hiring an uninsured crew goes badly. Damaged structures, unstable wood, and time pressure are how accidents happen — and if the crew on your roof is not carrying workers' compensation, that exposure can land on you as the property owner.
We carry full liability and workers' comp, and we will send the certificate before we start. Ask every company that knocks on your door after a storm for the same thing.
